Serenity and a Harbor Cruise

Monday, October 9

There’s so much to do in Sydney, but so little time left. Sometimes you just have to slow down. Today is such a day. We took a walk through the Darling Harbor entertainment district.

There is much to do during the day if you are traveling with children. During the evenings, the restaurants and clubs light up the night.

Seeking a bit of serenity, Gerri and I headed to the Chinese Garden of Friendship. Built with funds raised by the Sydney Chinese community, it is a place of peaceful beauty

After a refreshing morning, we took the light rail to Circular Quay, where we boarded a ferry to Manly Beach.

After a 30 minute cruise we arrived in Manly. The following photos were taken on both the outbound and inboard cruises.

Disembarking the wharf, we headed for The Corso, the name for what we would call a boardwalk. We had lunch and walked to the Beach which was busy  in spite of the cool spring temperature.

When we finished walking around, we took the return ferry and made our way back to our hotel to rest a bit before dinner.
