Today we did the thing that most of my friends, young and old wanted us to do. We went to wine country (the Hunter Valley) via a wildlife refuge. Gerri and were joined by two young American couples celebrating their honeymoons. Did I feel old! After all, our trip was a delayed (COVID) fiftieth anniversary anniversary. None-the-less, we all got along very well.
Our first stop was a wildlife refuge. What could have been better than walking around among koalas, kangaroos, wombats and tortoises.

Koalas and kangaroos are marsupials, in that they carry their young in pouches

As to kangaroos, a video might be better
Roos hop with the assistance of their tails. Unlike koalas, roos are often seen as pests.
They go where they want in the wild, often bothering pets and destroying property. At the vineyard, we caught this site

They are often as big as this photo shows
As to the vineyard, this sort of sums up the visit

After returning to Sydney, w went to Chinatown for dinner

Peking duck finished a great day
